Description
A Series Short Pitch Precision Roller Chains
A Series Short Pitch Precision Roller Chains are widely used in agricultural and conveyor machines. These chains are designed to withstand extremely high loads. In order to determine the strength of your chain, you need to know its tensile strength. Fatigue strength is just as important as tensile strength. Fatigue strength is determined by several factors, including the type of steel, heat treatment of the chain components, pitch hole fabrication, and shot peening intensity.
Simplex Roller Chains & Bush Chains
A Series Short Pitch Precision Roller Chains (APC) are available in a variety of sizes. Each chain is comprised of a single connecting link and one or more offset links. A two-pitch offset link is highly recommended for high-speed power transmission. These chains are available in a variety of materials including steel and stainless steel.

Advantages of A Series Short Pitch Precision Roller Chains
They have tensile strength.
A Series short pitch precision roller chains meet ISO 9633 standards for tensile strength. They have a tensile strength of 7 kN/cm2. They are used in mechanical power transmission, allied applications, and in the production of slewing chains. These chains are available in single, double, and multi-row configurations, depending on their size and pitch. Depending on the working environment, they are available in different platings and lengths.
The A Series short pitch precision roller chains are manufactured with steel or stainless steel. The minimum ultimate strength of a steel chain is 12500 x (pitch, inches). Some chains have X-ring or O-ring construction, which greatly reduces wear and tear. They also feature internal lubricants, which are inserted by vacuum during riveting the chains together. All of these features contribute to the overall life of a chain, making it ideal for a variety of applications.
They have a fatigue strength of 1/9 of the chain’s tensile strength.
Generally, roller chains are measured according to their tensile strength, which is the maximum load capacity before failure. However, fatigue strength is equally important. Fatigue strength is defined as the load that the roller chain will be unable to sustain over a prolonged period of time. The main distinction between the two is that tensile strength measures the capacity of the chain only once, while fatigue strength reflects the load capacity over time.
The minimum tensile strength of an A Series Short Pitch Precision Roller Chain is 12,500 x pitch in inches, a figure that represents the minimum ultimate strength of the chain. Chains with X-ring or O-ring teeth greatly reduce wear and tear and are more durable than those without. Internal lubricants are introduced into the chain while riveting.
Chains and Sprockets
- Chains and sprockets are mainly used in all applications such as transportation, machinery and other motor applications.
- Chain and sprockets are maintained with grease and oil spray to provide smoother and better operation.
- It makes the wheels run as the motor rotates and is considered as Rotation Per Minute (RPM).
Chains and sprockets are mainly used in the transport industry and machine building industry to rotate wheels by means of motors or engines. These chains and sprockets both help the wheelbase to run fast according to the engine speed. The chain hangs between the motor and the sprocket, the motor turns the sprocket and the chain is connected to the sprocket teeth, which can turn simultaneously with the motor wheel, thus making the vehicle or machine run smoothly. HZPT is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers in China. We can offer various high-quality drive chains and sprockets for sale. Contact us now if you are interested!
