Description
Corrosion Resistant Chains
Corrosion Resistant Chains are specially designed for environments with high amounts of moisture and corrosive chemicals. These chains are available in different metal alloys such as stainless steel and nickel plated. They are also made of lubricated steel to prevent corrosion. These chains are used in food processing industries. The corrosion resistant properties of these chains make them ideal for the food industry. In addition to that, they can be used in industrial applications where the chain needs to be cleaned frequently. If you need a chain that is corrosion resistant, then you should consider one of the many options available.

Corrosion Resistant Zinc-plated Chains
If the environment is more severe, zinc-plated chains are a good choice for outdoor applications. These chains offer excellent corrosion resistance as well as the same breaking load and strength values as standard chains. They can withstand up to 250 hours of salt spray testing.

Corrosion Resistant Nickel-plated Chains
Nickel-plated roller chain is a mildly corrosive-resistant type of roller chain. Its nickel plating provides excellent strength and wear resistance. Its nickel plating is applied to individual chain components prior to assembly, ensuring that the entire surface area is covered. Nickel-plated chains are ideal for a variety of applications, including garage doors, boat lifts, and outdoor gate operators. You can find the highest quality nickel-plated chains at camelbackchain.com.
These chains can be found in several styles and sizes. They are available in numbers 25 through 120. Small pitch chains are plated before assembly while large pitch chains are plated after assembly. Although plated chains can resist rust, they have less fatigue strength than standard chain, which is why safety guards must be installed. Nickel-plated roller chain is usually pre-lubricated with mineral oil. It is a better option for applications where a chain breakage can be detrimental to the machine. Whether the environment is mild or highly corrosive, nickel-plated chains offer excellent corrosion resistance with a good aesthetic appeal.

Ever-power has provided corrosion resistant chains specifically for the food industry. These chains are extremely durable and do not need lubrication for optimal performance. The chains meet all food processing standards and are up to 50% lighter than standard stainless steel chains. In addition, their bushed design prevents food residue from being trapped between the chain components. As a result, they are quieter and lighter than conventional stainless steel chains.
Stainless Steel Corrosion Resistant Chains are made of 316 Stainless Steel. This type of steel has high corrosion resistance and can handle temperatures up to 400 ℉. It is not as strong as carbon steel, but it is very durable. However, it does not have the high tensile strength that carbon steel chains have. Stainless Steel Chains are also available in AS and SS grades.
Sprockets for Chains
There are many different types of sprockets for chains. Some are made of stainless steel, while others are made of non-stainless steel. Stainless steel sprockets are ideal for harsh environments and are usually 304-grade stainless steel. You can also find 316-grade stainless steel sprockets, which are ideal for extreme corrosive conditions. In addition to standard sizes, you can also find idler sprockets with a ball bearing pressed in.
There are two standards for sprockets: ISO and metric. ISO sprockets are used in most American, European, and Asian machines. In the United States, ISO sprockets are used to meet stringent standards, while metric sprockets are more flexible and interchangeable with European-style chains. For the most part, sprockets are interchangeable, although there is still a small number of exceptions to this rule.
The most common type of sprockets are made from metal or reinforced plastic. These devices are closely related to gears, and their wheel-shaped design with teeth allows them to span greater distances than their mating gears. Most sprocket and chain systems are similar to bicycle chain assemblies.
To choose sprockets for chains, it’s essential to get the size and pitch of the chain. Depending on your requirements, you may want to select one that has wide teeth or a sprocket with small teeth. In addition to pitch, you should also consider the size of the drive shaft. For example, if the chain is large, you will need a sprocket that is wide. For smaller chains, you’ll need a sprocket with smaller teeth. Likewise, you should consider the sprocket bore.
