Description
Oil Field Chains
Oil field chains are single and multi-stranded chain components that are typically used for heavy-duty applications in the offshore oil industry. These chains are typically built with heavy-duty series components and require tight tolerances and excellent fatigue strength. This is an application where high-performance and reliability are important.

Features of Oil Field Chains
Oil field chains are designed to endure the harshest environments and shock loads. They’re also able to withstand fatigue and extreme temperatures. Many of the chains available for oil field applications are manufactured to API specifications. Ever power Oil Field Chain is designed to meet API specifications and features single and multi row cotters with multiple fits and a range of torque ratings. These chains are also packaged for maximum durability and lubrication. Once installed, they’re ready to work in oil fields.
The market for oil field roller chains can be broken down into two types: riveted and cottered. Riveted chains are made with pins that spread through the plate. These joints are permanent. On the other hand, cottered chains are made with a cross-drilled hole that can be easily removed. Because of the high-shock and cyclic loading oil field roller chains must withstand a variety of stresses and abrasions.
Sprockets For Chains
There are many different types of sprockets for these drive chains. Some are made of stainless steel, while others are made of non-stainless steel. Stainless steel sprockets are ideal for harsh environments and are usually 304-grade stainless steel. You can also find 316-grade stainless steel sprockets, which are ideal for extreme corrosive conditions. In addition to standard sizes, you can also find idler sprockets with a ball bearing pressed in.
There are two standards for sprockets: ISO and metric. ISO sprockets are used in most American, European, and Asian machines. In the United States, ISO sprockets are used to meet stringent standards, while metric sprockets are more flexible and interchangeable with European-style chains. For the most part, sprockets are interchangeable, although there is still a small number of exceptions to this rule.
The most common type of sprockets are made from metal or reinforced plastic. These devices are closely related to gears, and their wheel-shaped design with teeth allows them to span greater distances than their mating gears. Most sprocket and chain systems are similar to bicycle chain assemblies.
To choose sprockets for chains, it’s essential to get the size and pitch of the chain. Depending on your requirements, you may want to select one that has wide teeth or a sprocket with small teeth. In addition to pitch, you should also consider the size of the drive shaft. For example, if the chain is large, you will need a sprocket that is wide. For smaller chains, you’ll need a sprocket with smaller teeth. Likewise, you should consider the sprocket bore.

Why Choose Ever-power Oil Field Chains?
Ever-power Oil field chain offers superior reliability, performance, and durability. Its design includes high strength pins, ballized holes for smooth contact, factory applied hot lube, and solid rollers. These chains are pre-stressed for performance and fatigue strength and have wide a range of sizes. Depending on the application, energy series oil field chains are available in single or quadruple strand configurations.
Our Oil field chain is designed for high-productivity applications, and is API certified for high-cyclic load and shock resistance. Its pins are specially designed to handle the high stresses of drilling. The pins are precision-ground and undergo a proprietary heat treatment process. They are then assembled. They also feature shot peened side bars and solid rollers. The Energy Series Oil field chain is available with a full range of reversible pins.
